Hello beautiful community,
Welcome to October! It feels like a month of heart recalibration to me. September carried a strong reset and creation energy, after what has felt like a very long period of energetic clearing. October will take us another step deeper... don't be surprised if this month, you're a presented with an emotional filing cabinet labelled “things I thought I had already dealt with, but there's a new layer...” because you may now be ready to see them from a completely different level of awareness. I think also we will be feeling like we are on a pendulum swing of inspiration and stuckness - all just part of making space for the new.
Venus turns retrograde in Scorpio on Saturday October 3. We will probably be reviewing relationships, self-worth, intimacy, vulnerability, love and the ways we allow ourselves to be seen. It begins a new 19-month Venus cycle and closes out a larger eight-year pattern that began back in 2020.... hmm I can hear your brain ticketing over! Don't over think it, just observe what comes up.
The Libra New Moon on October 10th brings a small window of fresh-start energy. We are being encouraged here to become much clearer about what fulfilment actually looks like now. This is time to manifest from the heart.
On October 15th, Pluto turns direct in Aquarius, which may bring another layer of awakening. This will require authenticity, big-picture thinking and moving beyond the misaligned versions of ourselves. Around October 17th, the annual Arcturus Gateway is highlighted — this is associated with recharging the energetic field, expanded consciousness, gratitude and opening to greater flow. For those, like me, who love a cosmic portal, this is a beautiful time for meditation and energetic work (join me here)
Scorpio season starts October 23rd, and we are encouraged to look beneath the surface — not to create drama where there isn’t, but to become more honest about what we may have been avoiding. And then, just in case the Universe felt we were getting a little too comfortable, Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio on the 24th. With both Mercury and Venus retrograde, there can be a strong pull toward the past. Old conversations, relationships, ideas, dreams or unfinished emotional business may wander back into awareness. The key here is not to immediately assume everything returning is a trigger. Sometimes things come back because you are finally ready to understand it from a new perspective.
On October 25th, Venus moves into Libra, shifting the emphasis toward balance, fairness, and self-love. You may become more aware of where things feel reciprocal, and where you’ve been carrying the emotional shopping bags for everyone else. The Taurus Full Moon on October 26th then shines a light on where old wounds or beliefs about worthiness have been influencing the way we love, receive and connect. This will be a powerful opportunity to release dynamics that keep us small while recognising how much we have already grown. Toward the end of the month, Venus begins to re-emerge as a Morning Star on October 30th, which symbolises the first visible expression of the rebirth process.
So overall, October is not about racing ahead. It will be a month of refining. Our relationships, our boundaries, what we value and how we speak to ourselves. And, most importantly, refining what we are actually available for now. You may need extra rest, more space or less external noise. And you may find that things you were once willing to tolerate suddenly feel… well… completely ridiculous. Trust that. Let October soften the heart without weakening your boundaries. And above all — try not to analyse absolutely everything. Some things genuinely are part of your Soul awakening. And sometimes you’re just tired, need a sweet treat and an early night. 💛

In this series of events, Christine Hookham, FWC's resident artist, will gently guide us through the process of creating our own artwork. No artistic experience is needed. This is not about perfection or producing a masterpiece, it is about slowing down, creative expression and enjoying the simple pleasure s of connection and of making something.
Each event will be a different painting - you will find out on the day! Bring a friend, enjoy a tea, meet like-minded people and give yourself permission to do something creative, nourishing and a little different.

I have been found my holistic path and wake up call few years ago in 2019 started with a yoga retreat in yoga wellness and Muay Thai box in Thailand where I discovered the joy and love for yoga. In 2021 when i came back to France during Covid, I had a massive change of mindset and needed to take the step further and started with a 200 hours yoga certification, and later on with relaxation massage trainings in ayurvedic, balinese and foot massage. I then came back in Sydney in 2023, 4 months pregnant at that time, and continued learning with a 50 hours yoga dance training online. I always loved dancing and combining my flow movement and style in my Vinyasa yoga was what inspired me to do. I also, deepened my knowledge in relaxation massage with a Swedish and Lomi lomi massage training.
Last year in 2025, I achieved my Zenthai Shiatsu training in Newcastle and became a therapist.
This beautiful bodywork that I do on a mat is a holistic and mindful therapy that combines Shiatsu, working on acupressure points and meridian of the body but also gestures and movements of Thai massage and osteopathic techniques. It is tailored to clients needs and each session is completely different. It supports overall wellbeing and nervous system regulation , release tension that could be stucked in a body, muscular pains, reduce stress, improves mobility, posture and circulation. It is amazing how the body and mind connect together and work simultaneously.
I offer Zenthai Shiatsu and Relaxation Massages services in Hornsby but now also in Freshwater.
